Project Description

This two level terrace was a unique project for us to renovate. Part of a warehouse conversion designed by Brian Klopper, it sits in the heart of Fremantle and was recently purchased by our clients as a Perth base for business and pleasure.

The terrace was in original condition, dark in spaces, had little functional storage and a bathroom that was small enough for one at a stretch. Our brief was to extend the bathroom, lighten and brighten wherever possible and to introduce kitchen, laundry and bathroom cabinetry that increased storage space that was complimentary to the era, design and feel of the space. Our clients worked with Casey of Studio Seventy Four to plan layouts, design cabinetry and choose selections.

We worked over three months to renovate the property. The initial work included removing the existing bathroom and robe walls to make way for an extended bathroom that now houses a second toilet for our clients- a game changer. The use of in wall toilet cisterns and clever internal cabinetry additions has created much need space for movement and storage. New lighting and a coat of paint have created so much more light in key areas and the original slate has been restored showcasing the depth of beautiful colour that complements the selection of tiles and cabinetry. The result is stunning.

Our thanks to the team who made it all come together and to our clients who were such a pleasure to work with.

And from our clients…

“Kellie and her crew of amazing trades people have transformed my Klopper apartment in Fremantle over the past 3 months. From a dated, tired space with lack of storage and a tiny ensuite bathroom – into an apartment with beautiful finishes with a fantastic use of limited space, without losing the Klopper aesthetic. Living interstate, I could not have completed this renovation without Kellie. From start to finish the communication and updates were frequent, and Kellie is a delight to work with.

I am so thrilled with the finished renovation; I can’t quite believe it is the same apartment. The workmanship and attention to detail with all finishes is very impressive from all trades.

Thanks also to Casey from Studio Seventy-Four who understood the mid century look I was after, designing cabinetry for a small space for maximum storage and putting it all together to create a stunning space to live in.

I spent time the other night sitting on my couch just looking around the space, not quite believing the transformation! Very very happy, Thanks Kellie and team “
