Project Description
Full of character and elegance, this project is home to a busy family of five. Our brief included renovating the kitchen and master ensuite areas. Both were in great but original condition, and the owners were keen to renovate the kitchen in a way that paid homage to the homes’ character, reflected their style and was functional in a way that met the needs of all family members. For the ensuite, there was continued focus on function and also on luxury and calm, and the finished space attests to this.
Our clients worked closely with Studio 74 who provided layouts and design for our team who worked over 12 weeks to complete this renovation. While the work carried out can be easily seen, there were a few items that proved to be game changers for this renovation. The first is the addition of the low lite window which really ties the kitchen and it’s stone top and cabinetry selections to the outside garden and brings much more natural light into this space. The removal of sections of nib and other walls that housed the original pantry and cooktop/rangehood allowed for a simple and flush cabinetry layout that creates a real sense of spaciousness. The final one was the entry to the ensuite which was square, jarrah framed and appeared heavy. This was re-shaped to match the soft arches throughout the house.
The outcome is just divine and our thanks to the team who made it all come together. Our clients were such a pleasure to work with and made our work fun- our favourite kind of work.
