Project Description

It was such a joy to return to this apartment and finish what we started some years ago.

After completing renovations to the kitchen, scullery and laundry areas in 2016 we were left with the remainder of the apartment to renovate for a now young family whose needs and lifestyle had changed a little in the time between drinks.

The renovation scope was considerable and the added complexities that opening state borders amidst a pandemic and working in an apartment complex with a shared lift bought about, made this project a little more challenging than standard. The original vermiculite ceilings were covered, creating an instant lift that allowed for improved lighting, a greater sense of flow between areas and a softer, lighter and brighter apartment all round.  A mix of ducted and split air conditioning systems was installed throughout the apartment. Two bathrooms and one powder room were renovated with selections and layouts provided by Studio Seventy Four in conjunction with our clients. Finishing touches including painting, carpets and brass door hardware and fixtures tied the finished product together, creating a soft, stylish and functional family home. Working not once but twice with this family was a delight for our team.

And from our clients…

Transformations have completed the full renovation of our apartment including the kitchen, laundry, flooring, bathrooms, drop ceilings, lighting plans, air conditioning and cabinetry.  Kellie is organised, has excellent communication both with the client and the surrounding neighbours, and a great team of trades she regularly works with.  The result is an extremely well finished, high quality renovation which has added significant value to our property.  At a time where stories of extended delays were more common than not Kellie and her team managed to complete the works and have our family back home within the forecasted period and budget, a testament to Kellie’s great relationships and organisation.
