Project Description

We are honoured to have worked with the owners of this stunning home three times now. Initially, after purchasing in 2019 and more recently in 2022. Built circa 2012, our clients who purchased the home in 2019, wanted to place their unique stamp on this stunning ocean front home.

The first stage of renovations was carried out in 2019. The internal scope of work was extensive and included the installation of cabinetry to living and bar areas on both floors, including the in-fresco area that connects the rear garden and poolside entertaining areas. Framing to at T (who create the framed televisions for the Block series), created a custom designed TV for the infresco area to serve as a mirror by day and a television when entertaining. New cabinetry throughout the living and entertaining areas was designed by Studio Seventy Four in collaboration with the owners, then constructed and installed by local craftsmen.

Both bar areas incorporate the the Flanders Stone used externally, connecting interior to exterior. The extended use of Jura Blue limestone tiles and copper lighting fixtures and finishes creates a further connection. Pietra Grigio marble is featured throughout the home with the most impressive piece taking central position in the upstairs bar.

The wine room inhabits a space all its own. Custom designed and constructed by Cellar Creations of Mornington, transported to Perth and then installed locally, the combination of cedar shelving, mirrored walls and the owners prized wine collection are a sight to behold.

There is delight to be found in every space here… the entrance door and striking series of pendants, the glimpse and then expanses of marble and stone, the comfort the soft furnishings create in spaces built for sea and star gazing, the connection of house to garden and the beautiful blue and ever changing sea view through almost every window.

The exterior scope was equally extensive. We worked alongside Tim Davies Landscaping who created elegant and defined garden spaces with features to behold throughout. In addition, the pool was resurfaced, the exterior cladding replaced in full, the Jura Blue tiles extended to the rear and front gardens and the Flanders Stone extended to border garden beds. The addition of new aluminium composite panels complement the overall colour palette beautifully.

Our work continued over a total period of five months with no space untouched. In addition to the work that can be seen, a great deal of maintenance and future proofing was carried out. It was a joy to be involved with this project. The team chosen worked together tirelessly and the outcome is a combination of their effort and their dedication to creating a beautiful home they can collectively be proud of. The list of individual and company names is far too long to capture here but our sincere thanks go to each.

The kitchen was the one area that was untouched in the initial renovation stage and deliberately so. The owners were intent on creating a beautiful space that complemented the rest of the home and was a statement piece in itself. Their vision led the design and selection process assisted by Studio Seventy Four and the new heart of the home is a testament to this.

During both stages, the owners were ever present, involved at each turn and maintained a strong and unwavering vision of the home and legacy they wanted to create here, for their family now and into the future. This consistent involvement and strength of vision was a gift and served to motivate our crew at each stage of the project. My thanks to them for this and more.

And from our clients…

Like everyone, we have busy lives and we knew that this renovation required a comprehensive project management service to partner with us from beginning to end. After coming highly recommended, we used Transformations to renovate two properties in 2018 and were in no doubt that they were the perfect choice to work with us this time.

Kellie is a consummate professional and her manner and personalised approach engender trust and real confidence. Kellie took care of the little and big things, the twists and the turns and took each in her stride. During the course of the renovation, the scope grew and nothing was too much to handle for the team. The level of communication throughout the renovation was excellent- we were consistently made aware of the project progress, any changes to timeline, issues and potential solutions. In addition, a very large team of trades people and other services were coordinated tightly, reducing any dead time and ensuring a streamlined process. We very much appreciated the level of integrity and attention to detail applied throughout the renovation process. The quality of work carried out by a trusted and personable group of trades was second to none and we breathed easy knowing that the project was in expert hands.

Living here is a dream come true and the finished product really has exceeded our expectations. Our thanks to the Transformations team. Joe and Claire.
